But after a few months, I could not live with the lie and finally decided to tell him the reason why I still haven’t slept with him yet.

Ogun Confirms First Lassa Fever Case, Places 60 People Under Watch

The Ogun State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Babatunde Ipaye, on Thursday said the state had recorded the first case of Lassa fever.

Ipaye said this during a press conference held at Oke Mosan in Abeokuta, thestate capital.

He identified the index case in the state as a 28-year-old lady, “discovered on Wednesday February 3 at 8:10pm.”

Ipaye said the victim had travelled to Ebonyi for a burial and returned to Ogun on January 15, and later started manifesting the symptoms of the viral disease.

He said, “The victim had accessed treatment at Ruby Medical Centre, Ota. She was said to have been moved another hospital, Central Specialist Hospital, Ota. It was the management of the Central Specialist Hospital that called the state Ministry of Health.”

“We moved in immediately and took her in. We have shut the two health facilities for decontamination.”

Ipaye said the victim had been transferred to the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, one of the isolation centres for the disease.

He added, “The confirmatory test was done and the result came in last night. We started emergency procedures immediately and she has been moved to the isolation centre in Sagamu.

“She has been given the drug, ribavirin and still under observation. She has had fever and other symptoms but have not started bleeding.

“She has passed through two private hospitals, which have now been shut for decontamination.”

Ipaye also said 60 persons who had contact with the victim in the two health facilities including three members of her family were under watch.

He said the first 35 contacts were health workers in the first hospital, 22 in the second one and three others were family members of the victim.

He said, “These 60 people have been placed under surveillance, but I want to appeal to the residents not to panic. They must be vigilant and maintain good hygiene in their homes.”

Ipaye commended the management of the Central Specialist Hospital for its patriotism in contacting the government and saving the state from the scourge of Lassa fever.

January To Be Famous

January to be famous!

I decided to start with this because those whom we thought could lead us well are now gradually leading us astray just for fame. Fame has actually gotten into people's head that they do anything for publicity. At times, they arranged it, while some publicity happened naturally. But we all know the truth. I got so irritated when my own Bros, @donjazzy and @olamide opened the stage with their publicity stunt that did not last up to 48hours.

Reports That Eritrean Law Requires Men To Marry Two Wives Are False

SaharaReporters has found that reports that the Eritrean government issued a decree requiring all men to marry two women, or face imprisonment, are false. This story was published by several African media organizations, including SaharaReporters, following two days of intense interest on news websites and social media.
According to conversations SaharaReporters had with experts and Eritrean government representatives on Wednesday, the report is now understood to be a rumor originating on social media that later became extremely popular. The rumor later found its way to news websites in Nigeria and across Africa.

On Wednesday morning, a SaharaReporters correspondent spoke with a Eritrean government representative attached to the Eritrean Mission at the United Nations in New York.  The source flatly denied the rumor, and expressed frustration that hoax had gained the traction it had.

Also speaking to a SaharaReporters correspondent on Wednesday morning, Eritrean expert Awet Weldemichael, an Assistant Professor at Queen's University in Canada, stated that he believed the reports were fictitious and “started as a joke” online.

Mr. Weldemichael added that “I have not seen, read, or heard anything credible which would confirm the story.”

“I think it [such a decree] is in the realm of the improbable or impossible,” Mr. Weldemichael said.

According to the false reports, the primary justification for the mandatory marriage was intended to fill the population gap in the country following the Eritrean war for independence in 1991 and the Eritrean-Ethiopian war between 1998 and 2000.

ICC Petition: Falana Replies Okonjo-iweala

In my application to the Special Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) last week, I requested for investigation into the allegations of crimes against humanity committed by serving and retired military officers and their civilian accomplices. Having diverted over $8 billion earmarked for the procurement of arms and armament for counter insurgency operations I argued that the suspects who aided and abetted the dreaded Boko Haram sect in the barbaric killing of over 25 soldiers and civilians including children and the displacement of 2 million people ought to be prosecuted at the ICC. However, for having the temerity to request the ICC to investigate the crimes against humanity committed by some former public officers who bear full responsibility for the atrocities perpetrated by the terrorist group Dr. Okonjo-Iweala resorted to the scurrilous attack of my person.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo Writes Senate President And House Of Representatives

January 13, 2016
Distinguished Senator Bukola Saraki,
President of the Senate,
Federal Republic of Nigeria,
Senate Chambers,
Abuja.
Honourable Yakubu Dogara,
Speaker, House of Representatives,
National Assembly Complex,
Abuja.
It is appropriate to begin this letter, which I am sending to all members of the Senate and the House of Representatives through both of you at this auspicious and critical time, with wishes of Happy New Year to you all.
On a few occasions in the past, both in and out of office as the President of Nigeria, I have agonised on certain issues within the arms of government at the national level and among the tiers of government as well. Not least, I have reflected and expressed, outspokenly at times, my views on the practice in the National Assembly which detracts from distinguishness and honourability because it is shrouded in opaqueness and absolute lack of transparency and could not be regarded as normal, good and decent practice in a democracy that is supposed to be exemplary. I am, of course, referring to the issue of budgets and finances of the National Assembly.

Nigerians Are Lazy

From the fact that they see beggars on the road to those who sleep under bridges. They even went ahead to use the school and department as examples.

Why Most Marriages Never Exceed 10years

The very moment you say you are accepting a man's proposal for marriage, you are coming under subjection. Subjection is not torment.
A man who fears the Lord doesn't take that for-granted to abuse and take due advantage of you.
Subjecting to your spouse is a command from God. Because the man is the head of the home as Christ is the head of the church, that is not the time or reason to get so proud and become fool of yourself to the extent that you cannot respect your wife and listen to her many good words and advice.
